‘You can with a Nissan’…the tag line from a multinational automobile manufacturer; it shone through on Sunday last at a wet and windy Ballyfeeney, Co. Roscommon; venue for Midland Motorclub’s Autocross event. David Healy in his small budget, self built Class 2 Nissan Primera, proved that its not always about expensive gearboxes and top of the range suspension as his 1996 Primera, not only claimed top spot in Class 2 but also finished the event ahead of 4wd powered Subaru’s and Evo’s. Needless to say there was more than just a ‘Tiny’ smile on Sunday evening.
The day didn’t go aswell for the other Mayo competitor Alan Mcguire, his Peugeot was hampered by electrical gremlins during the day.
